Born in Birkenhead, Betty met her first husband there and they had two daughters – Pat and Joan – before relocating to West Drayton, where she has lived the majority of her life.

Betty went on to marry twice more, most recently to Ted, and her family has extended now to include six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She spent many years working for EMI Records at Hayes.

Seema Jose, home manager, said: “We are so glad to have her living with us. She is such a kind and lovely lady.”
