BORIS Johnson took time out of his busy schedule to pop into Parkfield House nursing home in Charville Lane West, Hillingdon.
After touring the 44-bed home with Laird MacKay, Canford Healthcare’s chief operating officer, the Uxbridge MP joined residents for afternoon activities followed by tea and cake.
He was told by excited residents Annie Walters and Maisie Smith they will celebrate their 100th birthdays next year.
Mr Johnson interacted with a few other residents – of the feathered variety – as a result of the home’s HenPower collaboration with Equal Arts.
As Mayor of London, he was instrumental in launching the HenPower scheme in the capital. It helps promote good health and well-being in older people.
Hannah Wood, of Equal Arts, showed how the work is going from strength to strength at Parkfield.
