Two off-duty police officers were assaulted when they intervened in a fight in Watford town centre.
The officers broke up a man and a woman who seemed to be fighting near The Moon Under Water pub in High Street just before 3.30pm on Tuesday.
Both officers were assaulted and later went to Watford General Hospital but their injuries were minor.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police should call 101 quoting reference 41/100179/19.
- A 23-year-old man from Bedmond was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to police custody. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
