Boris Johnson won the seat in 2017 with a 10.8% majority, with 23,716 votes giving him a 50.8% share, up 0.6% on the previous election in 2015.

The constituency voted 57.19% to leave in the EU referendum.

The seat has been held by Conservatives since 2010, when it was created following boundary changes, part merging the former Uxbridge and Ruislip-Northwood constituencies.

Jo Humphreys (Liberal Democrat)

Jo was elected as a London Councillor in May 2018, where she has served as the Assistant Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Schools.

Since being elected, Jo has worked hard to improve the lives of her residents and has played an integral part in introducing into Richmond Borough a remembrance programme of events for Holocaust Memorial Day, including an education programme for Year 9 pupils.

Jo believes that Boris Johnson is unfit to be in office. As the strongest voice of Remain, Jo wants to stop Brexit and offer a practical and affordable plan for this constituency including improving our health and education services, ending the housing shortage, and fixing the climate crisis.

Mark Keir (Green Party)

Mark Keir is an environmental activist and active supporter of Extinction Rebellion. He previously stood for election in last year's local elections and in the most recent General Election in 2017.
