A LOTTERY winner from Ealing joined a host of people who have won a collective £148.9m to celebrate The National Lottery’s 25th Birthday.
Over that period, it has created 5,500 millionaires and awarded £71bn in prize money.
Ealing winner David Knowles, who celebrated his £100,000 Scratchcard win this year, joined fellow winners to celebrate the impact the Lottery has had.
So far, there are 40 Lottery millionaires with a west London postcode.
David said: “It’s amazing to think that people have been enjoying the ‘if I won the Lottery’ conversation for 25 years, and even better to know that 262 ticket-holders from west London can, like me, say ‘I’ve won the Lottery’!”
In that time, £40bn has been raised for good causes around the country, and currently £30m is raised every week.
