The Mayor of Brent led the borough’s Remembrance Sunday service by paying tribute to those who lost their lives through conflict.
Cllr Ernest Ezeajughi laid a wreath at Barham Park’s War Memorial, in Wembley, as part of the council’s civic service in honour of the fallen.
Members of the army, navy and air force cadets, as well as police cadets, sea cadets and those from St John’s Ambulance paraded through the park to mark the event.
They were joined by religious leaders and community figures, as well as local residents and council staff.
And the winners of the Deputy Lieutenant’s prize essay competition for 2019 read out their compositions.
Cllr Ezeajughi said: “It is an honour to come together to remember those who bravely served and gave their lives. We shall not forget them.”
