Unique Christmas event will raise money for Bucks charity.
The Epilepsy Society will be hosting a unique and free Christmas event in Chalfont on December 8.
‘Chalfont Cheer’ will have a festive indoor market, a light switching on ceremony with Christmas carols and a chance to look around the world-leading epilepsy research laboratories.
This is the second year that the charity will be opening its doors to the local community.
Clare Pelham, Chief Executive at the charity, said: “I think you would be hard pushed to find another village in the UK where you could spend the afternoon browsing around stalls full of handmade crafts and gifts, and then go and listen to some of the world’s top scientists talking about how their amazing research is transforming the lives of people with epilepsy.
“We love the opportunity to open our doors and share our exciting science with friends in the community.
“And, personally, I love the opportunity to do my Christmas shopping at the same time. I do hope everyone will join us in getting in the festive spirit.”
‘Chalfont Cheer’ is open from 12pm to 4pm, with tours of the laboratories taking place between 1pm and 3pm.
