ELLESMERE kicked-off the start of the festive season with a Christmas fair last weekend.
On Saturday, Swan Mere Day Centre CIC held a fair in Ellesmere Town Hall and many people came to have a look and join in the festive fun.
There were 18 stalls selling all kinds of handmade gifts and tasty treats – and it was the perfect opportunity to grab a Christmas bargain.
Esme Roberts, who runs the day centre with Julie Wedderkop, was very happy with how the day turned out.
“It was brilliant,” she said. “It was really well-supported.
“It was our second Christmas fair and even more people came than last time.
“We’d like to say thank you to those who visited and who volunteered.
“Just a big thank you to everyone really.”
The day centre for older people runs four days-a-week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Ellesmere Town Hall from 10am until 4pm.
