A MANHUNT is underway after a child reported he was sexually assaulted in Ickenham.

Police were called just after midnight on Saturday to a home in The Greenway, following a report that a man had gained entry before assaulting a young boy in his bedroom.

There was no evidence of forced entry.

The man fled the scene after the child told him he would phone the police.

Det Con Claire Field said: “This matter has clearly caused a great deal of anguish to the boy’s family.

“A man was seen running from the area shortly after. It is vital we speak to him to establish why he was in the vicinity.
