A HEATHROW firefighter from West Drayton is looking to upsize the family home after winning £200,000 on a National Lottery Scratchcard.

Dad of two Craig Titchener, 33, was on childcare duty with his youngest son when he decided they both needed some fresh air.

He popped to the shops for bread and milk and decided to also treat himself to a couple of scratchcards, including a Winter Wonderlines 2019.

Craig said: “It was a pretty miserable day so we headed straight home and I played the scratchcard.

“It wasn’t looking like a winner until the very last game, where suddenly all the symbols matched and I saw the £200K prize.”

He and his partner of 11 years, Natasha, 31, who works for an airline ground staff at Heathrow, have a two-bedroom flat.

“With our growing boys, we knew we needed to start looking for a bigger place, ideally with a garden,” said Craig.

“Even with two salaries it was going to be a stretch. Now, we have a hefty deposit for a new family home and can even keep our flat as an investment.

“We will buy a new car and I’m also going to give my mum a few quid so she can treat herself.

“And, with both of us working at Heathrow, it’d be rude if we didn’t take a holiday!”
