DOGS Trust West London, based at Harefield, is saying Goodbye Ruby Tuesday as a 12-year-old Patterdale Terrier has finally found her ‘fur-ever’ home, proving age is just a number.

Just like her namesake, Ruby Tuesday had been a bit of a Rolling Stone in life and found herself in the care of Dogs Trust for a second time.

Now, thanks to a Ruislip couple, the Stevens, she has a place to settle for her twilight years.

Ruby Tuesday returned to Harefield this year after six years due to a previous owner’s change of circumstances.

Having undergone treatment from the vet team, she was ready for her next destination.

Luckily, Mr and Mrs Stevens walked through the door and fell in love with her.

Jo Lloyd, assistant rehoming centre manager, said: “Ruby was such a sweet girl and really deserved to find a special retirement home to finally rest her paws.

“Adopting an OAP (Old Aged Pooch) is so rewarding and has many advantages. They have fully formed personalities for you to get to know and are often calmer dogs who need slightly less exercise.
