CHANGING the bed can be a nightmare - exhausting, time-consuming and complicated.

Now, Ealing designer Luke Gray and partner Ben King are on a mission to solve the problem for good with a revolutionary duvet.

They set up Koa, an inventive bedding company to launch an ‘easy change’ duvet cover after months of development and testing with consumers.

Koa’s easy-change differs from traditional designs with an opening where the duvet can be easily tucked inside without any need to wrestle the sheets.

The pair first became aware of the problem when Luke’s gran found it too difficult to change the bed. After further investigation, they discovered she wasn’t alone.

Koa’s study revealed that 78% of people would change the bed more often if changing the duvet cover was easier.

“It’s one of the most hated chores and we’re excited to launch a cover which makes it easier for everyone,” said Ben.

Koa recently received the top funding prize of £60,000 from the Design Council’s Spark programme, which has Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden as an adviser.

It will launch the duvet cover in Spring on crowdfunding site Kickstarter.
