Around 10 litres of oil was split on the A483 in Dolfor, near Newtown, after a single lorry crash yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, January 22).

Police arrived at the scene first, at 2.10pm, shortly followed by the ambulance service and fire service.

The incident closed the road and it was reopened at 8.15pm with traffic lights in place.

One male driver was released from the heavy goods vehicle and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

A spokesperson from the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said that approximately 10 litres of hydrolic oil had leaked from the vehicle.

"Firefighters made the vehicle safe and used an environmental grab bag and a poly boom to contain the oil," the spokesperson said.
