Hertfordshire Constabulary is looking for volunteers to support officers.

The force is looking to recruit new police chaplains from various faiths that would provide support and pastoral care to officers and staff in Three Rivers.

As a police chaplain, volunteers would conduct two visits per month to police stations in the district to get to know staff and learn about their work.

Chaplains will also attend a minimum of two other events a year, such as Chaplain’s meetings, conferences or training events, which are held at police headquarters in Welwyn Garden City.

Applications are welcome from everyone regardless of what faith.

Those interested should be or have been involved in ministry, leadership or mentoring roles.

Chaplains should also be sensitive to the needs of others and capable of providing impartial and confidential support.

If you are interested in taking on the role, contact Penny Brown on 01707354427, or email penny.brown@herts.police.uk.
