FOUNDERS of a community-focused Ealing business are celebrating after being named start-up of the year.
Veeloop was crowned at the West London Business Awards after more than a year inspiring new entrepreneurs across the borough.
The online payment approval business was launched in 2018 by mothers Randa Bennett and Patricia Salume to give children the freedom to shop independently online while retaining visibility and control for parents.
The project was offered a home as entrepreneur-in-residence at the University of West London’s Westmont Enterprise Hub and, one year on, it has a team of five and is extending support to start-ups and parents with new business ideas.
Veeloop was the first firm to become a resident at the Westmont Enterprise Hub and is running advice sessions and guest lectures for young entrepreneurs at the university.
