A fifth man has been charged after a 26-year-old man was stabbed to death.

James Amadu in Enfield was stabbed in Blossom Lane in Enfield on the afternoon of Thursday, October 31.

He died after attending a north London hospital at around 2.21pm.

Detectives investigating the stabbing have charged a fifth person: Sheldon Crawford-Proverbs, 28, of Collinwood Avenue in Enfield.

Crawford-Proverbs was arrested on Monday (February 17) and charged the same day with assisting an offender.

He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and has been detained. His next court appearance is at the Old Bailey next Monday (February 24).

Previously, Romeo Mapeza, 18, of Waterman Lane N18, and a 15-year-old boy, also from Enfield, were charged with murder on November 2. Mapeza was also charged with possession of a bladed weapon.

They appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on November 4.

Franklyn Amadu, 23, of Linwood Crescent, and Dennis Goxha, 19, of Meyer Green, were charged on November 5 with violent disorder and possession of an weapon.

All four have been detained and will face trial at the Old Bailey on April 27.
