FORMER students of Ruislip High School in Sidmouth Drive are being asked to go back to the classroom to inspire current students.
They are part of a programme run by the national education charity, Future Firs,t which helps state schools and colleges develop ‘old school tie’ networks.
The ex-students will volunteer at assemblies and workshops designed to motivate young people and broaden their job horizons.
Future First believes every state school or college should be supported by a thriving alumni community.
Ruislip High School wants to contact former students in established careers and recent leavers.
Careers leader Jo Brown said: “A network of past pupils with all their valuable experience will be vital in helping us to equip current pupils for the world of work.
She can be contacted on office@ruisliphigh.org.uk. Former students can also register with Future First on www.futurefirst.org.uk
