A lone woman scared off three men who broke into her home.
Police are investigating a burglary which took place in High View, in the Holywell area of Watford, at 7.10pm on Monday February 3.
Three men, dressed in dark clothing with their hoods up, broke into a house via the porch door.
Inside, a woman was sitting in her living room.
When the men were inside the property, police say she confronted them and they quickly left.
Hertfordshire Constabulary are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Julie Vint, from the Watford local crime unit, said: "Incidents like this are very scary for the person who is affected and we’re doing all we can to make sure that those responsible are caught before they do it again.
"Please get in touch if you think you may have seen a group of males acting suspiciously in the area at the time."
Anyone with information that could assist with DC Vint’s investigation can email julie.vint@herts.pnn.police.uk, call 101 quoting crime reference 41/10362/20, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.
