A luxurious £10 million mansion in the Green Belt in Gerrards Cross will be built after the council gave it the go-ahead.

The futuristic five-bed home - called Skyfall - will be built at Meadow Grange in Amersham Road after the existing mansion, pool house and summer house is knocked down.

And although the incredible new house will be bigger than the current one, the design means that a lot of the 12,775 sq ft home is embedded in the hillside unlike the old 4,800 sq ft one.

Skyfall - which has been designed by WaM Architecture and developed by Southern Grove - will boast underground parking for four cars, a sauna, steam room, gym, lap pool, spa pool, bar, wine cellar and staff living quarters.

Upstairs, the property will also have an outdoor pool, indoor spa pool, light wells and sliding walls.

There are five ensuite bedrooms including the master bedroom which will have two separate ‘his and her’ bathrooms, complete with dressing rooms.

The impressive mansion will also have floor to ceiling glass windows.

The plans for the new home were given the green light by Chiltern and South Bucks District Council last week - just five weeks after the drawings were created.

Andrew Southern, chairman of developer Southern Grove, said: “The beauty of this home can’t be understated. It is futuristic but simple and wholly sympathetic to the surrounding Green Belt and that’s why it has flown through the planning process.

“The internal space that has been achieved is absolutely phenomenal when you consider how minimal the external profile is compared with the property that currently stands on the site.

“This is a great example of our bespoke property team’s work — elegantly-designed, single dwellings that make no compromises when it comes to architectural form.”
