WE'VE rounded up some of this week's most read stories, just in case you may have missed them.
1. A shabby row of Victorian-style homes on a busy High Wycombe road will be replaced with 28 new flats for people with learning disabilities.
Two four-storey blocks – each with 14 flats in – will be built where numbers 42, 44 and 46 West Wycombe Road stood.
2. A host of new measures have been introduced by Bucks Healthcare Trust as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak.
No babies will be born at Wycombe Birthing Centre, no visitors are allowed on any hospital wards and breast and bowel screening programmes have been suspended as Bucks' hospitals continue to struggle against coronavirus.
3. Bucks Fire and Rescue were called to five seperate car fires in the space of two days in High Wycombe.
4. Emergency services were forced to disperse a 'gathering' by a bonfire, despite pleas for people to stay at home during the Covid-19 outbreak.
The police criticised those who had gathered around the fire, saying that it is 'not what the police and the fire service should have to be dealing with in these testing time'.
5. A number of major retailers have issued urgent product recalls on a range of products.
Anyone who has recently bought the items have been urged to return them to the stores.
