A further 19 coronavirus patients being cared for at the London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust have died, data released by the NHS shows.

The patients, who had all tested positive for Covid-19, died during the period between March 31 and yesterday (April 8) at the trust which runs Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow and Ealing Hospital.

It takes the total number of confirmed deaths at the trust to 228.

The trust has the second highest recorded deaths of Covid-19 patients out of all trusts within England.

Eleven of the 19 deaths happened on Tuesday (April 7), taking the total death toll on that day to 14.

The day with the most recorded deaths at the trust so far remains March 29 with 24 deaths.

NHS England announced today that 765 people in England had died, taking the total number of reported deaths in England hospitals to 7,248.

Patients were aged between 24 and 103 years old. 43 of the 765 patients (aged between 33 and 99 years old) had no known underlying health condition.
