A TALENTED young musician is all smiles after being presented with a Blue Peter badge.
Hattie Gibb, pictured, aged six, has been taking lessons with Sussex Music School both at studios and more recently online.
She said: “I play the drums. I like hitting the beats and having drum lessons. I like learning how to read drum music. It’s fun, I’d like to play in a band one day.”
Her mum Louise Gibb, from Hove, said Hattie started in January and has put her talent towards achieving the award from Blue Peter.
She said: “I’m really pleased for her, when she got the envelope through the post she was chuffed.
“For a long time she has wanted to apply for a Blue Peter badge, and now has a skills that she enjoys and was relevant to the badge that they offer.
“She loves drumming and she has been doing brilliantly with her lessons which she had done for a couple of months. The rest have been online. She has flown with it and it has been really nice to see, and one day she would like to be in a band.”
Sussex Music School also said it is proud of the progress Hattie has made. It is continuing to offer its lessons online to clients.
