A set of traffic lights in Marlow that were turning themselves on and off have reportedly been fixed.

Marlow resident Kamil Dziki noticed that the lights at the pelican crossing near Maple Rise on the Little Marlow Road, were changing to red despite no pedestrians being present to press the light's buttons.

It was first brought to the public’s attention on May 28 after he posted a video of the traffic lights malfunctioning in the Facebook group Marlow Life, and on June 1, it was confirmed that the lights were still not working properly.

However, following several reports that were made to Buckinghamshire Council, a spokesperson from Transport for Buckinghamshire confirmed on June 2 that the issue with the lights had now been resolved.

Transport for Buckinghamshire said: “A fault with the traffic lights on Little Marlow Road, Marlow, was reported to TfB via ‘Fix My Street’.

“Our engineers attended urgently on the same day and found that there was a fault with one of the buttons which has now been replaced and the problem [has been] fixed.”
