It seems that staying at home has given people in and around Watford a lot more time to be creative in the kitchen.
Chrissie Booth from Chorleywood said she made a Union Jack cake with her children Harry, 11, Evie, nine and Aiden, four, for VE Day which they decorated with cream, strawberries and blueberries.
She said: "We made it because there was a social distancing street party for VE Day. The sponge didn't take long to make, and the kids worked out how to put it together and assembled it.
"We have been baking and experimenting lots. We have made scones, cookies and lemon drizzle cake.
"We were fortunate enough to have some flour and eggs and the kids really enjoy baking."
