FROM today (8) till June 21, Notting Hill & Ealing High School pupils are taking on a challenge to ‘travel’ the length of the UK to raise funds for Ealing charity, Log Cabin.

#CharityChallenge1341KM is the equivalent of Lizard Point in Cornwall, to Dunnet Head in Thurso, a journey of 1341K.

Students, staff, parents and supporters are asked to run, walk, cycle, skateboard and scoot – however they like to exercise - to cover the distance.

Certificates ranging from bronze to platinum will be awarded for completed 5K sections on individual days, In addition, there is a teachers v students competition to see which age group can cover the largest distance.

Those taking part will log their distances in the app Active Globe, which will track the cumulative distance covered. A donation to Log Cabin will be requested.

Monique McGoey, of Log Cabin, said: “It’s heart-warming to see the school community think of us during this time."
