Around a hundred people gathered for an outdoor party near a spot where a fight broke out just weeks ago.

Large groups of young people flouting government social distancing restrictions came together at High Beech on Saturday (June 13) in the afternoon for a party.

A cyclist who stopped by High Beech to refill her water bottle said she was shocked to find at least a hundred people gathered at the green space near Kings Oak Pub.

The party goers were captured drinking, dancing to loud music and with laughing gas (nitrous oxide) cannisters.

Many attendees stood close together without regard for current social distancing restrictions.

Due to the large crowd, the cyclist says surrounding roads were “gridlocked” as there were many cars parked around the area.

The cyclist said that she cycles around the area regularly and thought the flouting was disrespectful to the many people in the UK still following government guidelines.

Essex Police were approached for more information about the event and incidents that took place.

At the end of last month (May 30) large numbers flocked to Queen’s Green in a scene that resembled a music festival with widespread drinking and drug use reported on social media.

Police dispersed the previous gathering at around 5pm, just after a topless man hit two women amid a brawl involving multiple individuals.

The Epping Forest Guardian await more information from Essex Police about the latest incident.
