Animal lovers can start to get excited as a wildlife park announced it will be reopening to the public.

The Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne says it is is reopening its doors this Saturday after shutting due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The park is making the move after it opened its doors to members only last weekend - and says it is now "confident" to open its doors to the general public.

A number of safety measures have been introduced by the park, including a one-way system to help with social distancing and hand sanitizer stations to maintain good hygiene.

Some areas that have been deemed a health hazard have also been closed off.

Anyone who wants to visit from June 27 will now have to pre-book a ticket online and choose what time they would like to arrive.

Tyler Whitnall, Paradise Wildlife Park Director, said: "We are so happy to see all our members enjoying the park and our amazing animals over the weekend and the last few days.

"Thankfully there has been no concerns with the one way system or any of the other social distancing measures so we are now more excited than ever to welcome the general public back to the park as well.

"Please just remember to book your ticket online and choose your arrival time. Thank-you to all our supporters over a challenging 12 weeks; we could not have reopened without you."
