Hello, my name’s Flame and I’m five-years-old and this is my friend Blue, who is three.

We’re ex-racing greyhounds who were brought to the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) when we were no longer profitable for our owners.

I’m a friendly girl who loves to be around people. I like to have a cuddle on my big comfy bed and get lots of ear scratches.

I walk nicely on the lead but can sometimes get a bit excited when I see someone I love and forget my manners so will need to continue my training in my new home.

I’m looking for a cat-free home with adults or families with children age 12 and over.

Hillingdon Times:

Flame loves having her ears scratched

My friend Blue is sweet and friendly. She can be a bit nervous with new people, but her confidence has come on leaps and bounds.

She loves to play - the squeaky toys are her favourite - and chase balls. She loves food and will pinch whatever she can get her paws on so don’t leave any tasty treats lying around.

Hillingdon Times:

Blue's confidence around people has improved significantly

Blue has some health issues, which our vet team is happy to discuss. She’s looking for a cat-free home with adults or families with children age 16 and older. We could both live with a male dog of a similar size.

We greyhounds make the best pets. If you can give us loving homes, email reception@nawt.org.uk or call 0208 950 0177 (option 2) to arrange a visit.
