Police have issued a warning over flooding after a car was left stranded in deep water on a road.
Dacorum Police posted a picture on their Facebook page of a BMW car stuck in a flood just past a bridge in Queensway in Hemel Hempstead, near Kings Langley, yesterday (August 12).
The BMW was stranded in the middle of the road, with the water being deep enough to cover the lower half of the car.
The flooding came following heavy rainfall, which occurred across Hertfordshire yesterday afternoon.
In a Facebook post, Dacorum Police urged drivers to not drive through any water under any circumstances “as you do not know how deep it is”.
It added: “Police are currently attending numerous reports across Dacorum where there is flooding due to recent rainfall.
“We will be closing roads across Hemel where there is flood water. Please seek alternative routes and drive to the weather conditions.”
Meanwhile, pictures show Hempstead Road in Watford was covered in water yesterday, while a video showed flooding had also occured in a section of the A41.
