UTC Heathrow’s Year 13 students are celebrating after their hard work gained exam results that will open the doors to a range of industry apprenticeships and degree courses. 

Students have places with companies such as Thames Water and degree apprenticeships with leading engineering and IT companies. 

Others have university places at Coventry, Exeter, Bristol, Brunel and more. 

Principal Wayne Edwards said: “Our students have developed a resilience to be successful in the most testing times. They are now able to progress to the next stage of their life with very positive destinations”. 

UTC Heathrow, based at Northwood School, is offering advice to anyone unsure what to do next after A-levels.  

Julian Basker achieved D*D*D in L3 Extended Diploma in Engineering and is now going to study Mechanical Engineering in Aerospace at UWE Bristol. 

Joshua Hartog achieved DDD in the same subject and has a degree apprenticeship with Ford Motors in IT, while Owen Eavis achieved D*DD and will study an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. 

Heather Woodman achieved D*D* in L3 Diploma in Engineering and a grade C in Mathematics and is taking a gap year before joining the RAF.
