YEAR 11 students at UTC Heathrow are celebrating this morning after receiving their GCSE results.
The University Technical College, based at Northwood and specialising in Engineering, Maths and Science, offers a strong technical education alongside GCSE’s in a workplace-style environment.
Principal Wayne Edwards said: “The last few months have been challenging and difficult, but our students have persevered and developed skills that will see them succeed in their futures.”
Students at UTC Heathrow benefit from a wide range of opportunities outside the classroom.
Some are in the midst of a five-year project to build their own plane, while others take part in cadet activities, as well as in the annual Royal Navy Engineering Challenge and Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Craftsman Cup.
