Most and least expensive homes sold in Watford during lockdown

Data from the Land Registry showing all property sales in England and Wales, showed the houses sold in Watford and surrounding areas between April and June.

The lockdown was officially imposed in the UK by March 23. During the height of the lockdown, people were advised to delay house moves. Rules also prevented in-person house viewings.

From May 13, estate agents in England could conduct viewings, but this was not enough to boost house sales in June – with just one house sold within the area that month.

Data for July has not been released yet by the Government, but it is understood there has been a boom of sales since with Rightmove reporting more than £37 billion worth of property sales within the UK in July.

But it may interest you to know just what houses (out of the few sold) were actually sold during the peak of lockdown.

So we have listed the most expensive and least expensive properties sold within specific areas between April and June.

Abbots Langley

2 Meadow Way, WD5 0RD

Price sold for: £495,000.

The three bedroom house has a modern looking porch and exterior. It comes with two bathrooms and two reception rooms. The house was sold in April 2020.

24 Breakspeare Road, WD5 0EP

Price sold for: £190,000.

While specific details about the property is not available, the house was sold mid April 2020. This means that the most expensive property sold in Abbots Langley during lockdown went for more than half of the house at Breakspeare Road.

Kings Langley

32 High Street, Kings Langley, WD4 8FZ

Price sold for: £9298,315

While specific details about the property itself is not available, it is well-located at the high street. The house on May 15 2020.

2 Old Mill Road, Kings Langley, WD4 8RH

Price sold for: £305,000.

The semi-detached home on Hunton Bridge is significantly cheaper than the High Street property.

Three Rivers

Price sold for: £1572,500

The beautiful spacious home has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and three reception rooms - and just looking at it alone, it is easy to see why this was the most expensive property sold in Three Rivers during lockdown.

153a – 155a Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth, WD3 7DW

Price sold for: £29,000

While there is no information on this property, it went for a significantly cheaper price than other properties around Watford.

30 The Avenue, Watford, WD17 4AE

Price sold for: £1380,000

The large house was sold near the begining of May on May 4. Located conveniently by the town centre, it again makes sense that this was the most expensive property in Watford during lockdown.

64 Leavesden Road, WD24 5EH

Price sold for: £20,000

The two bedrooms, one bathroom, one reception house was sold in April 2020, and was the cheapest property sold in Watford.
