The West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is asking for staff to be patient as it receives an “extremely high volume” of calls to its Covid-19 Staff Hub.

The Covid-19 staff hub was set up by the NHS Trust to help support members with any questions or concerns regarding coronavirus.

Staff members are also asked to call the staff hub if they display symptoms of Covid-19.

But some members today (September 14) are being unable to get through to the hospital due to “an extremely high volume of calls”.

In a tweet, the trust told staff: “We’re receiving an extremely high volume of calls to our Covid-19 Staff Hub today (Monday September 14) and understand that some staff are struggling to get through.

“Please bear with us and call back later if you can. We’re working hard to deal with as many calls as possible. Thank you!”

Staff members are reminded to alert the hub and not come into work if they display symptoms of Covid-19.

The staff hub is open everyday from 8am to 6pm and staff can normally access it through 01923217342 or by emailing westherts.covid19@nhs.net.
