CUSTOMERS at the Scope charity shop in Ruislip High Street might have spotted a familiar face alongside the regular team of volunteers today (14).
David Simmonds, MP for Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner, met the team after being invited by area manager Lara Woolston.
Volunteers carry out a range of duties at the disability charity’s shop, from sorting bags of donated stock to helping customers find bargains.
Mr Simmonds said: “I know the charity took a huge hit during lockdown and I am incredibly impressed to see the shop re-open after measures began to ease.
“I am so proud to hear the Ruislip community has given such incredible support by donating and buying bargains.”
Lara Woolston added: “We are always in need of volunteers so, if you have a few hours a week to spare, do pop in for a chat.”
