Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock has tested positive for Covid-19 less than a week after their game with Watford at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets hosted Warnock's side in their Championship opening fixture last Friday, in which Vladimir Ivic's side won 1-0.
This morning the Teeside club has confirmed Warnock's positive test as case numbers continue to rise across the country.
A statement on the Boro website reads: "The club can confirm that our manager Neil Warnock has returned a positive test for COVID-19 and will be spending a period in isolation in accordance with guidelines.
Neil is in good spirits and we look forward to welcoming him back after his period in isolation."
It is understood that there have been no positive cases confirmed at Watford, although testing is not compulsory in the EFL and only symptoms-based assessments are carried out.
