An academy has confirmed that someone at the school has tested positive for coronavirus.
Queens' School in Bushey says it was notified on Thursday evening of the confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school community.
The academy has not confirmed whether a staff or pupil had tested positive for the virus, but says it has told people who have been in close contact with the person to self-isolate.
A letter was sent to parents and carers of pupils at the school informing them that someone in the community tested positive for COVID-19.
Confirming that someone at the school had tested positive for the virus to the Watford Observer, Headteacher Jonathan Morrell said: “We were notified of a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school community on Thursday evening.
“In line with national guidance, close contacts of the confirmed case were quickly identified and advised to self-isolate for 14 days.
“The school opened as normal on Friday.”
