BOSSES at a Rawtenstall high school have informed parents about a potential case of coronavirus.
Officials from All Saints Roman Catholic High School posted a statement on their social media pages on Saturday.
It said: "This weekend we have been informed that a pupil in Year 9, Mother Teresa Form, has tested positive for COVID-19.
"We would ask that all 9MT pupils stay at home on Monday 28th September, while we undertake contact tracing and inform and pupils or staff who need to self-isolate.
"Other Year 9 pupils, and Year 7, 8, and 10 pupils, can come into school as normal.
"As soon as we have further information we will share this with our community.
"I would ask at this time that families please reiterate to their children the importance of wearing a mask, keeping their 2m distance, and keeping their hands clean, in order to protect themselves and others."
Meanwhile, on Friday on the school website it was also announced to parents by headteacher Brian McNally that they had been told two Year 11 pupils had tested positive for COVID-19.
