A ROAD is set to be closed into the evening after a lorry overturned.
The incident happened on the A24 between Dial Post and Buck Barn at about 5.30pm.
Witnesses described seeing a large number of Sussex Police vehicles at the scene.
The force is now warning drivers that, as recovery work continues, "this is likely to be a fairly protracted closure".
A spokesman said: "The north and south bound carriageways on the A24 between Dial Post, near Horsham, and Buck Barn are currently closed, as of 6.40pm.
"We are in attendance as a lorry has overturned.
"We apologies for the disruption and thank you for your patience at this time."
An AA spokesman warned drivers that the road closure is affecting traffic travelling to and from Horsham.
