As reported in this column recently the fondly remembered Marlow photographer and journalist Malcolm McIntyre-Ure has died in Wales where he relocated some years ago.

I have often used his pictures in this column: here are a few slightly different ones today.

Malcolm, who always carried a camera, had an eye for the unusual, but also for girls, who he would often stop and ask if they would pose for a snapshot.

Whether by accident or design the young lady at the top has reflections of Marlow Regatta enclosure and Malcolm himself reflected in her sunglasses.

Elsewhere on this page the chap who, for charity, “walked” down the length of the Thames on floating footwear; another guy who came through Marlow on a very rustic raft; a Carnival Queen, (like so many of Malcolm’s photos – unfortunately no names and no dates); a couple of nasty looking road accidents, and finally Malcolm himself, a picture from the same era.

He was especially noted for his local aerial views, operating from Booker Air Park. A few of those on this page next week.

Malcolm’s funeral took place in Aberystwyth.
