Wild Marlow photography competition winners revealed

The contest was launched in the spring to encourage budding photographers in the Marlow area to show off their photography skills.

Split into the three categories (the adult category, the senior school category, and the junior school category), the aim of the competition was to stimulate interest and appreciate the wildlife/habitats of the town and the surrounding villages.

One of the judges, Eric Meek, said: “It was extremely difficult to judge, due to the quality of the entries.

“These photos demonstrate both the variety and beauty of the wildlife in and around Marlow and the photographic skills of all of the entrants.”

The winners of the competition were Paris Losasso, who won the adult category and was the overall winner with her ‘Sunset Fox’ image.

15-year-old Kitty Hayward won the senior school category with her ‘Green Stops’ photo, and seven-year-old Jacob Walker was victorious in the junior school category, with his ‘Mute Swans of Marlow’ image.

All the photos will be included in the 2021 Wild Marlow calendar.

There will also be exhibition to show off all the best entries at the All Saints Church in Marlow between October 17 and 18.

On Saturday, it will be on from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday, it will be from 12pm to 4pm.

At the exhibition, Marlow mayor Richard Scott will present the winners with their winners' certificates.
