With spooky season looming, many may be at a loss as to how to keep your kids entertained, so here’s a round up of the best Covid-secure activities to do in Hillingdon this halloween. 

Monstrous model building 

Hillingdon Libraries are running a zoom LEGO session this half term for 6 -11 year olds to build spooky Halloween models. 

All you need is your lego bricks and imagination for this virtual activity.

Witches and wizards day 

Iver Environment Centre are running a magic themed activity day for 7-11 year olds. Expect a day packed with potion brewing, wand making, spell casting and pumpkin carving. Pointy hats and clocks are advised but not mandatory.

Courageous conservationists art workshop 

For those in search of a more high-brow activity to do next week, the Linnean Society together with Hillingdon Library are running an online workshop for 9-14 year olds. 

The workshop is aimed at older children, here participants will create their own acrylic photo transfer portrait using special materials provided by the Linnean Society. Upon booking participants will need to collect a pack of materials from the library before the session. 

As well as creating their own prints students will also learn about conservationists from all over the world who seek to protect animals and the environment.

Scariest look fancy dress event 

Uxbridge College are calling for students to submit their scariest look this half term. Students are encouraged to dress up and submit their look via Uxbridge College’s Google Classroom.

Spooktacular half-term clubs 

Harrow Mencap are running spooktacular activities this half term for children aged 5-18 living in Hillingdon. These activities are available to children with a disability and or additional needs who require support to access social, play and leisure opportunities.
