Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge is doing his bit to help school children this half-term, by offering free meals at one of his restaurants.

The 47-year-old, who lives in Marlow, confirmed the news via his social media accounts on October 25, following the Government’s decision to not extend free school meals during the holidays.

This is part of the chef's Meals for Marlow scheme which was launched at the start of lockdown in March, to help the elderly, vulnerable and needy receive hot food whilst all the restaurants in the area were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, he said: “To make sure no child goes hungry during half term, Meals from Marlow is providing warm dinners this week.

“If you live in Marlow and your family receive free school meals, pop down to The Hand & Flowers between 5pm-5:30pm this week (Mon-Fri) at 126 West St, Marlow SL7 2BP.
