Thames Valley Police have given residents who live in Buckinghamshire advice to avoid their parcels being stolen by thieves.
TVP revealed that on October 12 this year, they sent out an alert message with a warming ‘that criminals were stealing identity papers from external letterboxes and from paper recycling bins with identity theft being the unfortunate consequence.’

This has led to postmen and parcel delivery drivers being followed by certain individuals, with parcels being stolen from doorsteps if they are left outside of the property if there is no-one indoors.
TVP have recommended that those making orders should ‘add special delivery instructions’ to their purchases ‘if they wish’ or, potentially leaving the parcel with a neighbour who can collect it on their behalf.
