An 18-year-old man was forced to hand over money after being allegedly threatened with a knife in Marlow.

Between 2pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, November 21, the 18-year-old was sitting on a bench on the High Street near the Santander bank.

He was then approached by a man who reportedly pulled out a Stanley knife and demanded money.

The 18-year-old handed over some cash and the person left the scene.

No one was injured.

The person has been described as a white man with short, trimmed, ginger hair with a short, untidy ginger beard and moustache.

He has a tattoo of writing on the right side of his neck.

The police have since confirmed that a 38-year-old man from Marlow was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has since been released on bail.

Investigating office DC Tom Digby, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Marlow High Street on Saturday afternoon and believes that they saw this incident, or anyone matching this description, to get in touch.
