Two care home staff have been selected as finalists at the Great British Care Awards 2020.
Amy Higham and Lynn Harvey, who both work at Bushey House Beaumont, have been chosen as regional finalists for the Good Nurse Award and Ancillary Worker Award.
The pair who work as acting general manager and home administrator respectively, will both attend the awards ceremony in April at Hilton Bankside in London.
The finalists said: "We weren't expecting to be shortlisted for this award but we are so pleased, and proud. We don’t work in care for the accolades but it’s wonderful to be recognised by our team and peers, it is nothing short of an honour."
Regional director, Wayne Hughes, said: "This is an amazing achievement, and the staff, residents and local community are supporting Amy and Lynn wholeheartedly.
"It’s more important than ever to recognise everyone that has worked so hard. It is lovely to recognise these individuals.
"There isn’t a more worthy winner, and we’re really excited for the awards ceremony next year where Amy and Lynn will hopefully take home the crown."
