TWO people have been found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm by beating a man with a baseball bat in Uxbridge.

James White, 22, of Morse Close, Harefield, and Crystal Culhane, 22, of The Brambles, West Drayton, were found guilty on Friday at the Old Bailey.

They will be sentenced at the same court on December 23.

The trial heard that, in the early hours of August 18, 2019, a 33-year-old man was beaten multiple times with a baseball bat by White after being lured to Dovedale Close, Harefield, by Culhane.

White and Culhane were on a date that night, having not seen each other for many years, and had planned the attack against the victim, who was in a relationship with Culhane.

Detectives arrested White the next day and found items of blood-stained clothing that matched CCTV footage. Culhane was arrested the same day whilst attempting to visit the victim in hospital.

The motive behind the attack is still unknown.
