STUDENTS at Orchard Hill College, a specialist study centre in Wyvern Way, Uxbridge, raised more than £200 last week for Children In Need.

Student ambassador Evelyn Kaibanda organised a crazy hat and hair day to support the charity, which is close to her heart.

Evelyn said: “It has been a difficult time for everyone recently and I wanted to do something that was fun and for a good cause. It was a great day!”.

Across the college, students and staff donned a variety of headgear, with Evelyn sporting bright red curly hair and blush ears.

Her lecturer, Sarah Lucie, said: “Evelyn is a born organiser. We are so proud to see how well the event went and how it lifted the spirits of everyone in the college.”

The college supports students over 16 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, offering social and vocational courses to develop their skills.
