The borough council has urged developers to apply to help it turn Watford into a "thriving, prosperous and welcoming town".
Watford Borough Council wants a partner for its Town Hall Quarter programme - which was approved in January and involves major investment in local heritage, culture and jobs.
Several interlinked projects will benefit two of the town’s most significant heritage buildings – the Town Hall and the historic Watford Colosseum – and also create space for new homes and businesses.
As part of their application, developers will be asked to put forward their proposals on how they can add value to the scheme.
Elected Mayor of Watford, Peter Taylor, said: “The Town Hall Quarter is an exciting opportunity for the right developer to join us to create a distinct and exceptional scheme right in the heart of Watford.
"We are looking for a partner who can blend a good understanding of heritage with leading edge design and innovation, working with us to deliver our ambitions for a thriving, prosperous and welcoming town.”
Further information will be available from 10 April in Estates Gazette.
