Established over 15 years ago, L’artista is one of the most well known and popular restaurants in The Parade.

It draws customers not only from Watford and the surrounding area, but also from further afield in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and north London.

Owner Francomario Malanga prides himself on the customer service provided and a varied menu to suit all tastes.

He said: “It is a place where families are made to feel most welcome. We want to make our customers, from a newborn baby to a great granny happy and to visit us over and over again.

“Business customers in the area are coming for a quick and/or business lunch, while a loving young or older couple can have a quiet romantic dinner in the evening.

“We have many small customers smiling with our pizza and Italian ice cream in their hands. We make all these customers happy with our genuine Italian food and fantastic happy atmosphere.”

As well as home-made pizzas freshly prepared with the finest ingredients, L’artista serves many different varieties of pasta from all over Italy and also a wide variety of typical Italian antipasti (starters) as well as meat and fish dishes.

Francomario said: “Many of our customers return months after months, years after years and are constantly telling us that the atmosphere is so friendly and lively.

“Eating in L’artista feel like eating in a pizzeria in Italy while you are in the heart of the town of Watford.”

Shops are open once again and the Watford Observer has joined forces with Watford Borough Council to encourage people to shop local and support businesses that have been through such a challenging time in the past 12 months.
