Streets in Rickmansworth, Abbots Langley and Kings Langley are among those set to be temporarily closed for roadworks.

A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer outlines the extent of the closures and other traffic measures that may be necessary while the works are carried out, subjects to orders being made.

A section of Toms Lane, Kings Langley, is set to be temporarily closed to vehicles for bridge inspection works.

The closure will apply from its junction with Primrose Hill north-eastwards for a distance of approximately 70m.

The order is set to come into force on June 27 and last for up to 18 months, but the restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs in the area.

The following day an order for the temporary closure of Caroon Drive, Sarratt, is set to come into place.

The full length of the road is due to be shut from the junction with George V Way, but access to properties will be maintained as much as possible.

Part of Cowley Hill, Borehamwood, could be closed to motorists from June 30 due to utility service works.

The road is due to be shut from a point in line with the southern boundary of No. 101 north-westwards for a distance of approximately 67m.

More utility works are set to cause the temporary closure of Chequers Lane, Abbots Langley.

The order will take effect on July 1, if made, and will prohibit drivers from using the road from its junction with the A405 North Circular Road north-westwards for a distance of approximately 65m.

Another order due to come into force from July 1 is in Bury Lane, Rickmansworth, so a road sign can be replaced.

This will apply from the junction with Church Street south-westwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

An order for the closure of various lengths of road in Northwood and Rickmansworth is also due to come into force on July 1 for drainage survey works.

This will apply to:

Batchworth Lane, Northwood, from its junction with Portland Heights south-westwards to its junction with Sandy Lodge Way, a distance of approximately 975m.

Andross Avenue, Northwood, from its junction with Batchworth Lane eastwards and clockwise for its entire length.
